Strength of Tin Foil - The Day
Strength of Tin Foil - Coke cans not only look but are strong. In their unopened state they are engineered to hold tons a weight in shipping. However an empty can looks the same but can be crushed with small pressure. Amos is showing us that if we want to look as powerful as the babylons of the world, we can be crushed like an empty can. However, the Lord’s Kingdom does not give off the appearance of strength but love.

What Had happened at Grace this week.
Naaman the mighty man of war has leprosy, but his story shows us how human pride expects a show while God brings true healing through the small, ordinary, and unimpressive things.
Scenes from The Chosen to explore Jesus’ compassionate mission to outcasts, the meaning of the Sabbath, the power of personal transformation and testimony, childlike discipleship, and the tension between comforting mercy and costly allegiance to Christ.
On June 18, 2026, our class explored sin’s inward curve, creation’s praise, and the redemptive power of Christ through C. S. Lewis’s imagery in The Great Divorce, discussing how unresolved grief and lust can become idolatry and how surrendering our deepest attachments leads to glorious transformation.
A more in depth look at the most popular psalm in the Bible, and also one that you have probably never heard discussed in a sermon.
Upcoming Driveway Closure: Sunday, Postponed due to weather
For our first night of Summer Bible Club, the kids had a blast learning about Moses through crafts, games, and their guide parrot Beacon, while the adults kicked off a great new study on The Chosen.
We officially inducted Vicar Claubert into service at Grace Lutheran PSL!
On June 4, 2026, our church Bible study used C. S. Lewis’s The Great Divorce and the Lord’s Prayer to confront self-will, grumbling, and identity—asking how heaven’s life breaks into our daily choices, relationships, and walk with Christ.
A lively Bible study on June 10, 2026, explored The Chosen’s portrayals of Mary Magdalene, Matthew the tax collector, Peter, and Nicodemus, and how these narratives illuminate Scripture, discipleship, grace, and the humanity of Jesus.
Chasing After Egyptian Horses - The Day
Chasing after Egyptian Horses - It is a well known fact to the people of God that they ought not to go back to Egypt. Do not chase after the things of Egypt. Do not do the things of Egypt. However, we see the king of Israel marrying an Egyptian wife and chasing after Egyptian horses and having slave labor build the temple. God’s people are looking at the Day of the Lord square in the eye.

Jeremiah 29:11 - Mis"Quoted"
Today: Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Prayer for the church from Martin Luther King Jr.
O God, our heavenly Father, we thank thee for this golden privilege to worship thee, the only true God of the universe. We come to thee today grateful that thou hast kept us through the long night of the past and ushered us into the challenge of the present and the bright hope of the future. We are mindful, O God, that man cannot save himself, for man is not the measure of things and humanity is not God.
Bound by our chains of sin and finiteness, we know we need a savior. We thank thee, O God, for the spiritual nature of man. We are in nature but we live above nature. Help us never to let anyone or any condition pull us so low as to cause us to hate. Give us the strength to love our enemies and do good to those who despitefully use us and persecute us
We thank thee for thy Church, founded upon the Word, that challenges us to do more than sing and pray, but go out and work as though the very answer to our prayers depended on us and not upon thee. Then, finally, help us to realize that man was created to shine like the stars and live on through all eternity
Keep us, we pray, in perfect peace, help us to walk together, pray together, sing together, and live together until that day when all of God's children - Black, White, Red, and Yellow -will rejoice in one common band of humanity in the kingdom of our Lord and of our God, we pray. Amen.
