Flooding Update Nov. 4th

We made it to Grace!

Pastor, Kevin, Vicar, and Meschac made it to Grace today (Wednesday).
It wasn't without a little drama, though! Driving Through Water!

Here is the latest update:

  • Actives are canceled for Wednesday Nov 4th.

  • We were able to drive from Crosstown and navigate through the water. Still fairly deep.

  • The water coming from St. Lucie West is still very deep, so I strongly recommend holding off on driving to the church today from that direction.

  • The church building looks great, no water made it inside, so we are good there!

  • There is still standing water everywhere around Grace ,

  • The Super Walmart in St. Lucie West is dry and open now.

Please continue to stay safe, and let us know if you need anything!

Cashmere Is closed in front of Grace

Finally a nice day but there are a few very troublesome spots.

Cashmere is closed

Finally a nice day but there are a few very troublesome spots.

I got out this morning to assess conditions around our area and check on the facility. While a lot of Port St. Lucie is starting to clear, there are still some severe problem spots to watch out for if you have to be on the road:

Cashmere, you can see Grace’s sign peaking

  • St. Lucie West: Heavy standing water remains in several sections. I strongly recommend avoiding driving through St. Lucie West right now.

  • Grace’s road is closed: Cashmere Blvd is closed between St. Lucie West Blvd and Heatherwood Blvd.

  • Campus parking lot: There are quite a few vehicles parked in our lot from last night. This is completely fine.

  • I am going to go out again this evening and in the morning to check on the Cashmere Blvd.

  • Road hazards east of the church: The area east of us is mostly draining, but there are numerous stalled/disabled vehicles along the roadways, along with washed-out pavement and deep potholes. Drive with extra caution.

So far, I haven’t received word of anyone having serious trouble, but please reach out directly if you need anything at all.

Cris
