© 1948. Renewed 1975 Sony/ATV Acuff Rose Music : Hank Williams Sr.
1.
I wandered so aimless life filled with sin
I wouldn't let my dear Savior in
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night
Praise the Lord I saw the light
(REFRAIN)
I saw the light I saw the light
No more in darkness no more in night
(And) now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light
3.
Just like a blind man I wandered along
Worries and fears I claimed for my own
Then like the blind man that God gave back his sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light
(REFRAIN)
4.
The world was a-waitin', in darkness and fear,
Just waitin' for the Savior to appear.
Deep in the shadows, a star shined bright,
And in the stable, I saw the light.
(REFRAIN)
