Praying to God gives us direction in a confusing world. That means it helps me on the inside. It doesn’t only help internally but also externally because it spills over into this world. And what goes into the world has an amazing chance of changing it.

It was a wonderful week for the kids! They engaged their senses with a blindfolded smell-guessing activity and expanded their palates by sampling mangoes for their tropical fruit feature. They also learned about the story of Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus.

Psalm 1 provides a blueprint for spiritual life, and helps us see how Jesus grew into His Messianic role. Psalm 2 broadens from individual growth to God's MESSIANIC PLAN for the world and takes in the entire sweep of history. This Sunday we are in an Advent state of mind. Next Sunday we celebrate Christmas in July through the eyes of the Magi.
