MOPS at Grace Lutheran PSL
Encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with our local church.
We meet the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9:15 to 11:15 at Grace Lutheran. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten.
We provide childcare during meetings through our MOPS Kids program that provides a loving and enriching Christian learning environment.
At one of our meetings, the children were treated to a singing guide of fire safety and a visit by a firetruck.
The moms meet in the next room for fellowship, prayer, and a discussion, our most recent on Becoming the Beloved, living a life free from the labels society places on us, and instead as the daughter of the One true King. Usually we will cap off the meetings with a craft, guest speaker or other activity. Sometimes we even have off campus fun, like a costume parade at a nursing home.
One frequently asked question is, are we a bible study? No. We are faith-based and this belief is a part of our meetings.
Our mission is aligned with that of MOPS International:
To encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, our meeting time is spent providing respite, resources, and fellowship to mothers so that they can feel rejuvenated and prepared for the rewarding, but sometimes exhausting, work of being a mother.
